CAP & TRADE SOUNDS MORE LIKE CRAPPY TRADE – A private US Treasury analysis, acquired through the Freedom of Information Act,
shows the new cap and trade legislation would cost up to $200 billion annually for taxpayers. That adds up to a 15% tax hike, costing some families an extra $1761 a year in taxes.
A memo sent to Obama’s transition team back in November said the new climate change policies would incur costs “on the order of 1% of the Gross Domestic Product.”
